Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow: though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18).
Sir James Simpson, the celebrated Scotch surgeon and scientist who was one of the pioneers in the medical use of anesthetics, was once asked by a young man what he considered his greatest discovery. His simple reply was, "My greatest discovery was that I am a sinner, but that Jesus is a great Saviour.
